Could use some advice please...
« on: October 04, 2005, 04:43:50 PM »
Ok, I wanted to share my story with guys who understand the situation and get some opinions.  I'm 20 years old, 6'5", 175lbs.  I've had puffy nipples since I was around 15 or so.  When I pinch or rub them, they look normal.  I can see a little bit of tissue around the nipples, but they mostly just look puffy.  As you can see, I don't have a lot of fat, so losing weight would not help my problem.  For the most part, I try to keep it in the back of my mind, but sometimes (like now) they really bother me.
I've told myself that I will wait until I am fully finished growing before I seriously look into surgery.  For example, my facial hair only really grows on my chin and upper lip, I can't grow sideburns or a beard.  Basically, I want to wait until I'm certain that I am fully developed, and in the meantime, just deal with it.
Do you think there's still a chance they'll go away?  If I was sure my body was done changing I would look into surgery more, but I am kind of waiting until I can grow more facial hair to determine that.  Is that a stupid way to gauge it?  Has anyone had puffy nipples go away at my age?
Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

I'd have to agree with 'juice'. Beyond 20 years of age, the body probably will not be changing much more.

Go see a Plastic Surgeon Dude!  ;)

see, usually if your gynecomastia does not go away within 2-3 years of you having it.. it's probably not going to go away..

in my case, when i turned 17 i started lifting weights, and was working out plenty. what resulted was a significant 'reduction' in the gyne; moreover my pectoral muscles were pretty buffed and well developed, hence the puffy nipples did not look as awkward as they did in my pre-workout days; however i wasn't comfortable with myself. i had had gyne since age 13.. and 4 years later, it did subside a little bit, never went away though.

go see a plastic surgeon.
remember, most cases of gynecomastia are 'unknown' so i don't think you developing more has to do too much with the gyne situation. plus.. you're 20, so yeah.

goodluck.
