Looking for advice/opinions
« on: April 10, 2016, 02:31:52 PM »
Hi guys, 25 year old here. Was overweight before but recently got serious about losing weight and working out. Unfortunately still self conscious about my chest because of what I believe to be gynecomastia/puffy nipples. Would really appreciate other opinions and advice on what to do. Thanks in advance!

You have 2 options, some form of surgery or learn to live with what you are?

A great deal depends on if your development is recent and on going?

You definitely have puffy nipples and perhaps some excess tissue as well on your chest.  Your body appears to be in great shape -- so you cannot expect any change in your chest from further diet or exercise.

Assuming this situation has been present/stable for two years or more, then your only alternatives is live with it (and try to disguise it when possible) or consider surgery to permanently remove it.

If yo opt for surgery, do your homework, don't rush (this is elective surgery) and find a suitable gyne expert in your area or consider traveling for such expertise.  Remember, the first operation is your very best chance for a good result.

Best of luck!

Thanks Dr. Jacobs! How severe would you say my case is? How much improvement can be expected from surgery? Would you happen to know of any experts in the Boston area? Thanks again!

You appear to have a mild case with puffy nipples.  But that doesn't make any difference in the surgery -- each type of gyne (mild, moderate, severe) has its own unique set of surgical obstacles to overcome.  What you need, however, is an expert.

As for the Boston area, may I suggest you contact Dr Rick Silverman (also on this forum) for a consult?

Good luck!
