It's normal to wonder whats going on under the bandages dude, just keep looking at the removed glands picture and rest assured that its all gone now and in the bin! You'll be amazed when you take the bandages off, it's kinda hard to describe the feeling, but i was elated.

Decent physique btw, you look like a leaner version of me. What are your stats? (height/weight) What training do you do?

Cheers mate. Yeh I cant wait, counting down the hours! Thanks, i used to be quite a lot chubbier not so long ago but ive really got my diet into gear and my training as well. I'm 6 foot bang on and the week before my op I was 79Kg, I've been using stronglifts 5x5 for quite a while and ive started adding in some extra accessory stuff on top. Can't wait to get back in there but im not going to rush anything. Just placed an order for some impact whey and some bcaa's from my protein to help reduce muscle wastage, may as well keep my protein intake high to maintain as much as i can.

Well with that much junk and gunk removed, I think there is going to be quite a difference under those bandages!

Thanks keep it moving, I wanted to get as low a bf as i could before the surgery, still got a little bit left to lose to get rid of my 'loose skin' which is actually just more fat bagging it out but i can worry about that in a couple of months when im back in the gym. Can't beat a bit of chicken and broccoli, its all about that protein and cruciferous veg aha!

Im noticing my mobility is greatly improving day by day, im getting more confident with my movements and I dont have to be as stiff when moving about. Theres still occasions where i stretch a little too far trying to get my dressing gown on or something like that but theres no pain and i really cant wait to get these compression bandages off. Its killing my back as im fastened in with my shoulders up and forward, i dont know if anyone else has had an issue with this but my traps are getting an extended work out that id rather they didnt.

I'm just a bit curious as to why the left had so much more removed than the right when they look pretty similar to me in size. I forgot to ask what the weight of each was as well

I'm assuming you had excision and aggressive lipo done? I can't wait to see the results!
The extra trap workout is a plus! Who doesn't want traps like Tom Hardy? LoL....

Keep us posted man, this thread is inspirational...

In all honesty im not entirely sure, i forgot to ask for the specifics whilst i was there just because you have so much going on. I think Levicks technique does involve some lypo because once the gland is removed the fat around the edges would form an indentation so i think he removes the fat so everything is flat and thats why hes able to remove all of the gland. Although someone who knows more about it might be able to shed some light. I'll send an email tomorrow and try and find out a few more details like the weight of the glands removed and the amount of fat etc. Haha hopefully my traps wil be massive by thursday, at least i wont have to worry about any muscle wastage from there ;)

The bandages came off this morning!! It's been a big relief, those things get itchy towards the end. I am very pleased so far with the results however i know this is the beginning and theres a long way to go yet. I would've liked to see the bottoms of my pecs a bit more but there seems to be fat under them where the breast tissue used to extend to, either that or its just really swollen, im not too sure. My right side seems more swollen than my left even though the gland was a lot smaller but ive noticed a few people have found that. Tried a few polo shirts on and im really happy so far :D. Ive put the compression vest on and its not too uncomfortable yet. It was so good to finally get a shower, I was beggining to smell a lot haha.

Cheers guys. I'm really happy with how its turned out so far. Not looking forward to when things start to get more bumpy etc but I'll deal with that as it comes and thanks to the forum I have a decent idea of the kind of things to expect during the recovery process. From the looks of others on here working to build more muscle and shape in my chest provides really amazing results so I cant wait to get back in the gym and see where I am 6 months on. I'm finding the compression vest alright actually, it definitely provides a lot of support and allows for a lot more movement than the dressings did. Its not incredibly tight so im not too sure if I couldve got a smaller size but it seems to be doing the job. I'll upload some more oics tomorrow.

Hey congrats on your results! Thanks for all the postings, it is great to read them. I have surgery on 26th and I would say my gyno is slightly worse than yours, but we are miles apart. Just wondering do u plan on getting into a massage regime soon? Any advice from Levick on this? Also did u take the arnica as recommended? Looking good!

Thanks Jamie and good luck with your surgery! You're in great hands with Levick. Levick mentioned massaging but he said wait a few weeks first. I'm gonna wait till im just wearing my compression vest for 12 hours and do it around that, so in another week and a half. I dont know what oil to go for but i think a lot on here have used bio oil. As for the arnica i only got mine a few days before the op so i started taking it as soon as i got it, think it was 2 tablets a day up till the op. 2 tablets the morning of the op then 2 every 4 hours after for a week. Then drop the dosage back down to two tablets a day for a further week. Basically for the first few days i just took them with my pain meds after that whenever i remembered really. I wouldnt worry too much about missing taking your arnica though, its not a big deal
