« on: August 26, 2013, 07:43:55 PM »
So I'm a bit over 2 weeks post surgery. My chest is getting very hard, is that normal?

Doesn't sound right. I'd call my doc just to be safe.

"My chest is getting very hard, is that normal?"

Assuming you do not have a fluid or blood collection under the skin, firmness is absolutely normal at this time. I always inform my patients to expect this.  The firmness is a combination of residual swelling and early scar tissue formation.  It will last several months and then soften spontaneously.
