Bermant - Anatomy of Gynecomastia, Puffy Nipples, and Inverted Nipples

I have just revised my Anatomy of Gynecomastia.

I have added a new page on Anatomy of Puffy Nipples showing this more subtle version of male chest distortion.

The drawings have changed to reflect a more realistic contour of the male breast.  I wanted to show how the gland in the body looks like the dermis layer under the skin and like the fascia covering the pectoral muscles and the connective tissue between.

There is a network of fibers supporting the skin called the Superficial Fascia System defined by Dr. Lockwood that has revolutionized my surgical techniques for Tummy Tuck Abdominoplasty and Body Lift Surgery.  I evolved my Male Mastopexy Chest Lift using the same tissue concept.

It is the nature of this gland that can give the contour problems of puffed nipples and subtle gynecomastia.  Leaving gland behind can result in pointed nipples and distortions that just do not look male.  That is why I evolved my Dynamic Technique for Gynecomastia that targets gland first.

Hope this helps,
