Massage after surgery

Massage after surgery
« on: December 12, 2018, 09:36:47 am »
I just finished my surgery and am now 2 weeks post-op. My surgeon said to start massaging my chest to help recovery. Iím also receiving weekly RF massage sessions on my chest from the clinic. Iíve done some research on this and it seems that different doctors are all over the map with the massage issue. Some say to start on week 2, some say wait 6 weeks. And they all have seemingly good reasons for their answers. Itís hard to tell which is the right or wrong way. Iíve also read about Lymphatic Drainage Massage and Iím wondering if I should find a place that will do this professionally. Can you shed some insight on this?

Every surgeon has his/her own post op program which work best in his hands.  If you believed in your surgeon to do the surgery, then follow his instructions for the best post op care.
