Pe, steroids will probably make it worse.  I said probably, but who knows.  Maybe it won't make it any worse and you gain a lot of muscle all over, gain confidence in yourself and are no longer concerned about your gyne.

Ahh, better yet, if you can afford to do roids, better to put that money under your pillow and start saving for surgery.  Probably a better way to spend your money.

Thats a good point.  I don't know how much steroids cost, and haven't really looked into it.  I guess I never thought of them as "costing money."
I'll steer clear of them

A ton of guys work during college. Start saving and pay for it yourself.

In response to that statement: I do work, however that does not mean i have 5000 dollars of disposeable income that I can use to have plastic surgery.

1 more thing.  I have a physical with my doctor on the 16th and I plan on bringing up gyno and see what he has to say.  Is there anything I can do, say, add, that might help him get insurance to pay for surgery?

Should I ask for a prescription of nolvadex, clomid, tamoxifen, or any other drugs or creams?

Anabolic steriods can be very cheap or very expensive. Depends on what you get and who you get them from. You definately don't want to try steroids to reduce/eliminate your gyno. I guarantee you steroids will make it much worse; even painful. Not to mention other side effects that could be irreversible, unlike gyno.

I used steroids for several years. Only side effect I got was gyno. No enlarged heart, no high blood pressure, liver enzymes were fine, cholesterol remained fairly low, no testicular atrophy, no acne, no hairloss, no roidrage, no arthritis (yet  ;)), no priapism. I guess I got lucky to escape with *only* gyno.

It's worth a try to ask your doc for some tamoxifen (Nolvadex), but his/her answer will probably be a quick "No". There aren't any topical creams that will help your gyno. Please don't throw away your money buying a cream.

HTH

Maybe you can get a loan, or try to borrow some money from family members?

well regardless if i borrow money from a bank or a credit card company i'm still in debt.

This is something I'd like to avoid.

Has anyone ever been sucessful getting an insurance company to cover the costs?

A few members have. Do a search on insurance and a few story will pop up. I want my company to pay for my surgery as well. The only problem with the insurance is they have a list of ps to choice from. I don't know about all of that list sh*t, I want to pick the best ps, so I am saving money if boils down to that.

The only results that came up were posts I made pertaining to insurance covering it.

What if i told my doctor that my nipples were really sensitive and hurt?

Would that help me?

Maybe if the doc can say the pain was coming from the gland tissue.  Don't know.  If you're not telling the truth, it'll eventually come out.  Doc may say there's no was fat in your chest will cause your nips to hurt, regardless of what you tell him. Maybe worth a shot though. I've heard that aetna and some ins. may pay for gland removal but not lipo. Don't think any ins will pay for lipo.
