Can this crater be improved?
« on: November 07, 2019, 06:50:22 PM »
Hello everyone. I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet.

I've had 1 surgery and 1 revision. Excision only for both sides on my first procedure. The 2nd procedure I had excision only on the right and excision+lipo on the left.

While he seems to have hit the nail on the head with my right side contoure wise... and the scar aswell. I do have a slight indented scar and adhesion which is local to the incision site. Wondering if this can be released? When I lift my arm it pulls the skin awkwardly.

The left side however is pretty damning as I have definit crater abnormalities. This was the side that lipo was performed. I didnt have the same skin retraction post op as my right side and my gland was larger on this side from day one. I feel it's a combo of loose skin and over resection. Theres definitely something left to be desired and I'm hoping it can be improved. I'm in Canada and will travel world wide. Thanks.

Thanks for your inquiry.

Yes, I believe your crater deformity can be improved.  My go-to technique is with fat flaps, which utilizes surrounding tissues and moves them into the crater defect.

Suggest you find a gyne expert in your area or consider traveling for such expertise.

Good luck!

Thanks Dr Jacobs. I'm in B.C canada. Can we do a Skype consultation or is it more beneficial for me to fly down there for you to take a look? How is your availability?

I do not do Skype or Facetime consults.  The very best way to evaluate your situation is with a hand's on physical exam.  If you wish to consult with me, please call 212 570 6080 for an appointment.
