I think it is great that guys like JustJer are open to the benefits of trying a bra and evaluating if it works for them.
I feel that any guy with breast development, particularly if they have discomfort issues, should consider trying a properly fitted bra for a reasonable length of time of a few months. Judging from the various posts, a large number of guys have been surprised at the comfort a bra provided while also improving their profile. Further, they seem to adapt to daily wearing of a bra rather quickly.
It is not a big deal to be wearing a bra as a well fitting one is comfortable, functional for support, and generally is forgotten during the day in the same way wearing socks does not cross your mind. It becomes routine. The only barrier at all is the perceived stigma of wearing one and the concern of it being seen. These can be managed and concern does just diminish with time and confidence.
When I tried my first bra it was propelled by the comments of others that I needed one, and not by my own reasoning. But I quickly realized that there was merit to the opinion that I needed a bra and have been thankful and satisfied to wear one since. As with most, getting over the concerns of the stigma and potential visibility of a bra held me back from fully embracing wearing one full time, but that did pass. I became completely at peace with having breasts and dealing with them in the practical way that half of the worlds population does by wearing a bra daily. It is no big deal.
