OK so it does stop/slow hair loss = Good thing for me ;)

But, here's a quote from
Read this.

GB

Other possible uses (based on tradition, scientific theories or limited research). Acne, anti-inflammatory, aphrodisiac, asthma, bladder inflammation, breast feeding, breast enlargement or reduction, bronchitis, cancer, cough, diabetes, digestive aid, diarrhea, excess hair growth, expectorant, high blood pressure, hormone imbalances (estrogen or testosterone), immune stimulation, impotence, indigestion, menstrual pain, migraine headache, muscle or intestinal spasms, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, polycystic ovarian syndrome, postnasal drip, sedation, sexual vigor, sore throat, sperm production, testicular atrophy, upper respiratory tract infection, urinary antiseptic, uterine or vaginal disorders.

Seems that Saw Palmetto can do it all (ex. breast enlargment or reduction?) It has to be one or the other dont you think? It also list it an antiestrogen. Wouldn't that be good for any gyno? Am I missing something?

some research shows that saw palm helps block DHT to slow down hair loss. I am not sure how blocking DHT relates to gyne.

The jump line GB provided takes you to a naturopatic medicine website. They sell a wide variety of herbal preparations. Because of the profit motive, I could not accept their word as being completely objective.

Saw Palmetto extract is comparatively inexpensive and my Dr. had be try it when I started having symptoms of BPH. I perceived  no effect and after using it for three months changed to a prescription drug which lists Gynecomastia as a possible side effect. I also have some circulatory problems and I have three stented arteries along with hypertension. So, I am also taking a Beta Blocker (Gynecomastia is a potential side effect), Plavix (an anti platelet drug) and Enteric coated Aspirin.

There has been no change in my Gynecomastia, But the Plavix/Aspirin combination causes me to bruise rather easily. My medications have not changed in over a year. I'm also just as bald as ever.

I experienced not effect good or bad from 320 Mg of Saw Palmetto extract daily for three months.

Your mileage may vary.
