The results of a study of 24 patients with one year follow-up were recently released. The patients were men who had severe gynecomastia and massive weight loss. The procedure they had was correction of their gynecomastia along with an upper body lift.
To achieve the most effective and aesthetically pleasing result, the surgeon used opposing excisions in the shape of a boomerang, thus the name "boomerang-pattern correction of gynecomastia."
All 24 cases showed satisfactory improvement except one patient was unhappy with nipple distortion after revision surgery.
