2 days post surgery just flew home this morning and excited to show results and share the story. Here is a link to my before pics http://www.gynecomastia.org/smf/index.php/topic,10100.msg71609.html#msg71609writeup on my dr experience http://www.gynecomastia.org/smf/index.php/topic,10419.msg73631.html#msg73631Total cost of my surgery was $5,000 with Dr. Rajagopal in San Fransisco... the dr said I had lots of gland in my day before surgery visit....it was pretty emotional the day before. I am asking for the gland pics they showed me whe I was done and man...there was lots of mass there. Anyway here is some afters its been 2 days so lots of swelling, keeping pressure focus on lower quarter of each breast so they wont be perfect. Right side has some fluid not much though. I am suprised not much bruising. 1 liter of fat lipo'd out and some huge glands removed. One aerola was reduced down as well. I joked with the Dr and said I got a steal on price huh? She laughed and did not mind (i was quoted everything via pictures and phone consult) there was more than she had in mind I could tell but she did not try and change on me the day before. Dr Rajagopal is a wonderful person...i will share more on her in another section. My chest also has quite a bit of muscle so they are still bulky up top but there is muscle. front side Vest i have extra padding for pressure for next week or so so there is gauze and even 2 hotel rags from this am before I left for a bit added pressure its going to be hard to hide. I may buy another vest as well. I will need advice if anyone bought another, pressure focused on lower half of breast feel free to share thoughts, its 2 days.....i only popped 1 pill today pain wise....its very manageable. BTW my shoulders are killing me and I am scared to take my first shower.

1 liter of lipo was done. I have a bulky muscular chest so thats how far it goes out. I cant wait to heal and then hit the gym.
excision done...
does it look too tight?
The rags are over the gauze, it seemed to lower the fluid I had developed the night before, maybe I will remove them only been in since this am.

The tighter the better as it will prevent excess swelling and fluid build up/retention. Wear the vest religiously for at least 5 weeks. Take it off only to shower or wash for a few hours.

Pretty awesome dude! Thats a huge difference and your muscle tone is pretty good, have you been working out regularly before the surgery? I'm planning to get my surgery done soon...
chicagoguy I was an athlete for many years playing football so I had a good base of muscle. I have lost much of it in the last few years since I have been done but still go to the gym. When i lost 60 lbs and nothing in my chest changed that drew the line and I got the surgery. Work out 3-4 times a week, I did not lift the final week before surgery. Thanks for the support fellas!

Well i just hit the 7 day mark post surgery. I was sitting there thinking this morning about the process all over again. Feedback has been great and thanks guys. I am going to post weekly updates until im done with the vest. Everything has been fine except the biggest headache....the vest. I am constantly having to adjust and fix it, padding slides I look down at work and see a divot above my nipple because the way the vest sits, i then proceed to freak out and fix it. Repeat this process about 10 times throughout the day. I just ordered a new vest and I am not sure when I can wear just a vest without extra padding over nipple area maybe a few more days. I have healed pretty well I have some fluid I can hear in my upper left side above my chest but I am sure it will go away. I am trying to eat right because I really want to get after it once I heal. For guys with experience is it common to get those little divots every now and then and you just need to adjust the compression? My Inner Chest is not getting too much compression and I think there is some swelling going on, my chest is too bulky on the outer edges to get compression . My nipples look okay, i can see one side where it slightly goes in but hey I can live with that. We cant ask for miracles just a chest we can live with. I briefly put a polo shirt on without anything underneath and it was pretty weird feeling, what a sense of freedom. Thats how the week has been. Taken today 7 days post op- Closeup Wow just saw this one on the hard drive made me sick...had to post it. I at least had a nice rack 1 year ago!

6-17-07 (11 days post op)
I am noticing a slight indention on my left side (its to the left above my nipple). I think there is scar tissue build up and then nothing so there is a bit of a dent. Not 100% noticable, so I am now breaking out the lotion and massaging the hard spots. Maybe its too early to worry about but thats where I am at.
Ordered the Underworks vest and got it 1 day later it is a godsend for the recovery stage. The vest is much better and sits tighter than the one provided. I wear uderworks during the day then switch to the other one which is a bit softer at night. Spent 1 hour this morning with no vest while they washed felt good to be free for a bit sensitivity changes on chest area daily from nothing to sensitive back to nothing etc.
The surgeon said 1 more week of extra padding over the nipples while compresed, then I will move on to just vest. Fluid in the upper chest i noticed post op is pretty much gone, think i am just dealing with swelling and scar tissue now.I have only been using neosporin for scars, when stitches are gone I think i move to other stuff acumen i think they said?
I will be getting pictures of the gland back from surgeon its graphic...if there is interest I will post it so others can get an idea of what the gland looks like or a major case of fat & breast tissue which i was close to.
Thats it for now..

6-20-07 2 weeks post op Everything has been going fine and I feel fine. I am done with the pads over the nipple area and strictly vest. Work is fun in my polo shirt and flatter chest but there is a fellow co-worker who has a bit of gyno who has been starring at my chest ... i think he knows something is up lol. Ok now to the issue, I have some hard tissue on my left side next to the nipple, there is a divot to the feel of my fingers. I am sure its scar tissue and massaged it the other night but noticed i caused bruising from pressing hard. Each side appears to be healing in different ways, right nipple is still flat and attached to chest (inward) where left one has been out for some time and is a bit soft. I do not notice any fluid whatsoever just swelling and scar tissue. Should i massage everyday now? Did you heal differently and just let time take its course? Scar tissue is tough and i can pinch it etc... I hope it does not affect what appeared to be great results initially but i guess time will tell. Regardless i will be happy but at 2 weeks i know i still have a long way to go. I could use feedback from those who have been here. Pics Front (You can see the slight divot of conture on my left side.) Symmetry is off on the front but i think its been the same way even pre-op side where i caused the bruising from massage and I am slightly worried about the tissue side where nipple is healing a bit differently

6-27 3 weeks post op Not much changing really stitches on lipo scars finally went away i think my nipple scars re healing pretty good. I talked with my PS about the hardness i felt and conture i see on left side. She stated its still swelling, now would be too early for scar tissue. She also told me "lots was done, a few hundred grams of gland removed 1 liter of fat lipo'd" so basically i think she was saying be patient. I felt fine with her answer and even if today was my end result i would be fine. The fact is I had a ton of work done, she did the best she could do. I am starting to light massage the area. For the first time went to the gym this week, only did legs and cardio. Felt good to do something since I think i am losing muscle and gaining some fat...sucks but it will pay off once I am healed. I dont think i can lift for 3 or 4 more weeks I still have swelling and sensitivity. I did mow the lawnb today with very minimal strain so i think iwas ok in that regard. Pics wont show much progress from last week but i told myself I would do a little diary. I am annoyed that the assitant of the PS has not sent me the pics they have on file (especially the gland one) i want to see it and keep it as a momento. I think as time goes on and I heal I can diet and lift ....it will shape and form my chest even better. Front (sucks i am losing shoulder mass by the day I hate it) I want these shoulders back less the gyno Side (I kind of have breasts but its because I have a big chest...I have muscle that sits out that far so i need to keep that in mind) Here are some randoms tried to get close and one laying down
